Rev. Francis E.  Ihrman
Rev. Francis Edgar Ihrman, age 82 of Arthurdale, WV passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at his residence.
He was born August 2, 1932 in Albany, NY a son of the late Rev. Francis P. Ihrman and Florence Glenna (Wasson) Ihrman.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 ½ years, Jessie “Diane” (Heinz) Ihrman; two daughters, Jessie “Rebecca” Schmidle and husband Tom of Terra Alta, WV and Glenna Elizabeth “Betsy” Walter and husband, Dave of Jupiter, FL; three grandchildren, Carrie Uphold and husband Josh, Maegan Prince, and Cody Schmidle and Fiance’, Kelsey Goff; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Uphold; one great-grandson, Josh Uphold to arrive in May; step-grandchildren, Chris Prince and family, Catherine Walter, and Tom Schmidle and family; one sister, Ellen Jacobi and husband, Charles of Sioux City, IA; one sister-in-law, Barbara Anderson and husband, Mike of Lakeside, MT; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Harriet G. Ihrman and two sisters, Glenna Eloise Ekema and Jennifer Jean Greely.

Rev. Ihrman graduated from Carroll College in Waukesha, WI and Louisville Presbyterian Seminary in Louisville, KY. He did graduate work at Wisconsin University in Madison, WI and he served two years in the US Army.

He was a retired Presbyterian minister serving churches in Kentucky, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. He and his wife were also Deep Bas-Relief Woodcarvers.

In keeping with his wishes, Rev. Ihrman will be cremated and buried in the family cemetery in Fairview, IL. A Celebration of Life Service will be held this summer in Arthurdale.

The family would like to thank the Arthurdale Hospice Care staff, the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center and staff and the Ruby Hospital staff for care.
