Obituary for Frederick Allen "Fred" Starkey

Frederick Allen “Fred” Starkey, age 58 of Hackers Creek Road, Philippi, WV passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

He was born July 14, 1959 in Clarksburg, WV a son of the late Fred Odale Starkey and Pearl Marie (Mouser) Starkey.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Shirley Ann (McMasters) Wolfe Starkey; five step children, Nora Jane Robinson and husband Bob of Grafton, John Wesley Wolfe, Jr. and wife Kelley of Mather, PA, Lisa Williams and husband Kenny of Grafton, David Allen Wolfe of Kentucky, Robert Lee Wolfe and wife Lisa of Grafton; also survived by nineteen step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren; six brothers, Willard Roscoe Starkey of Barbour County, Joseph Lee Starkey and wife April of Barbour County, Robert Lee Starkey and girlfriend Ashley Mouser of Brushy Fork, Timothy Matthew Starkey and wife Deborah of Belington, and Nathaniel Paul Starkey and wife Norma of Chester, WV; three sisters, Jeanette Gay Davis and husband Richard of IL, Rebecca Kay Starkey of Morgantown, and Deloris Marie Starkey of Teter Creek Lake, WV; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Fred was formerly employed by Carder Moters in Bridgeport, Mark Bish of Grafton, and was a laborer for RRHAMCO in Grafton for over 30 years
He enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting, and enjoyed all outside activities.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
There will be no funeral service and at Fred’s request, he will then be cremated.
