Obituary for Melanie Judith Maxson (Rosier)
Melanie Judith (Rosier) Maxson , age 58 of Rosewood Rehab Center, 8 Rose St. Grafton, WV passed away April 1, 2018 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born May 6, 1959 in Uniontown, PA the daughter of the late Rev. Shirley Ann (Rosier)
Norman .
Melanie is survived by one son Jason R. Maxson of Missouri; four grandchildren, Blaine, Madison, Chandler and Dallion; four sisters, Melissa Ireland of Philippi, WV, Melinda O’Donnell and husband Mark of Pittsburgh, Ruth Anne Shores and husband Darrick of KS, and Norma Mowrey and husband Ronald of Arnoldsburg, WV; one brother, Glenn Rosier and wife Luann of Philippi, WV; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Allen Maxson, who passed away February 16, 2010.
Melanie was a graduate of Uniontown High School and Fairmont State College.
She was an Office Administrator for Tender Loving Care, Home Care and Hospice. She was a member of the Union Chapel Church in Markleysburg, Pa.
Melanie was Dale Earnhart, Jr’s #1 Fan, an avid Steelers Fan, raised Dobermans, made the best green beans in the family, and grew the most amazing African violets.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 4:00-8:00p.m.
Melanie will then be taken to the Union Chapel Church of the Brethren in Markleysburg, PA on Friday, April 6, 2018 where family will receive friends from 12:00p.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David Herring officiating.
Interment will follow at the Thomas Cemetery in Markleysburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to the Resident Council Fund C/O Rosewood Healthcare Center , 8 Rose Street, Grafton, WV 26354
