Lloyd Ellsworth (Mick) Elsey, III age 66 of Woodyard Road slipped away peacefully to his Heavenly Home on Sunday, June 17, 2018 with his loving family and pastor by his side. Mick was born on July 6, 1951 in Grafton, WV, son of the late Lloyd E. Elsey, Jr. and surviving mother Constance J. (Murphy) Elsey.

In addition to his father, Mick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd E. Elsey, Sr. and Lena (Smith) Elsey, and A. L. (Tom) Murphy and Berta (Poling) Murphy.

Mick will be forever remembered by his Fiancée, Nancy A. Wyckoff, one sister Susan L. Spadafore and husband Ralph of Fairmont, one brother Thomas Scott Elsey and wife Shelley of Grafton. He was a special uncle to Torr Spadafore and Shane Spadafore both of Fairmont; Shayla Elsey Wood and husband Justin, Seth Elsey and wife Chanel, and Shyanne J. Elsey all of Grafton; and great-nieces Hali and Lydia Wood.

Mick graduated from Grafton High School with the class of 1969. He was a four year member of the GHS basketball team and was selected for all- state choir in 1968-1969; he attended Fairmont State College in 1969 - 1971. He then went to work for the B&O Railroad as a carman from 1971-1972. After being furloughed, he dedicated his life to the WV Department of Natural Resources at Tygart Lake State Park starting on May 28, 1972 and retiring as Park Superintendent on August 26, 2010 with 38 years of service.

He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Lucas Dairy Road in Grafton serving on several church committees.

Mick was involved in organizations including: The Tygart Lake State Park Foundation, Establishment of the Kay Fisher Playground, Grafton Kiwanis, Tygart Valley Development Authority, Memorial Day Parade Committee, Life member of the NRA, the Fraternal Order of Police, and various Photography and Car Clubs.

He was a craftsman and loved antique restoration; creating stain glass, caning chairs, weaving baskets, and was a gunsmith. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018, at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 3025 Lucas Dairy Road Grafton, WV at 1:00PM.
