Robert “Bobby” Dale Duckworth, age 69 of Bridgeport, WV passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at his residence.
He was born May 5, 1949 in Grafton, WV a son of Aubra Dale “Bus” Duckworth and the late Sarah “Eleanor” (Bailey) Duckworth.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Mary J. (Smigiel) Duckworth; five children, Shanna Bosko and husband Scott of CO, Kristen Sorondo and husband Victor of FL , Robert McKinney and wife Lisa of SC, Laura Hawkins of Clarksburg, and Daniel Hawkins of Bridgeport; one brother, Charles “Chuck” Duckworth and wife Michelle of Moundsville, WV; and also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bobby Dale graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1967 then served in the US Air Force from 1968-1972. He was as an operator at the Harrison Power Station with 33 years of service.

He enjoyed his family, WVU sports, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was a member of the Taylor County Boat Club, a former Taylor County School Board member and former member of the Grafton Elks Lodge #308.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday, August 3rd from 3:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow with Rev. Judy Flynn officiating and at Bobby Dale’s request he will then be cremated.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the WV National Cemetery with Military Honors.
