Obituary for Faye D. Fike (Davidson)

Faye D. (Davidson) Fike, age 81 of Howard Street, Grafton, WV passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Rosewood Health Care Center in Grafton.
She was born October 4, 1937 in Vermillion, OH a daughter of the late Donald and Austina (Grove) Davidson.

She is survived by sister-in-law, Reva Fike Findley; nieces and nephew, Deborah Morris (David) of Cincinnati, OH, Rhonda Findley-Hall (Don) of South Charleston, WV, Kevin Findley of Flemington, brother and sister-in-law, Rogers and Elizabeth Fike of Oakland, MD, nieces and nephews, Cynthia Fyne of Richmond, VA, Rodney Fike (Diane) of Frederick, MD, Carl Fike (Suzie) of Oakland, MD, Jeffery Fike (Pam) of Bridgewater, VA, Andrew Fike of Oakland, MD, Lisa McIntee (John) of Sylvania, OH, Matthew Fike (Stacy) of Weyers Cave, VA, and niece, Jane Howery (Jefferson) of Sunnyvale, CA; survived by several great nieces and nephews; also survived by her extended cousins in Ireland.
Faye was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ezra Edwin Fike who passed away on January 11, 1999; one sister, Dawn; and two brothers, Wayne and Dennis Davidson.

Faye worked several jobs as a young lady including several years at NCR (National Cash Register) in Dayton, OH and last employed as a social worker at the DHHR in Grafton.

She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Grafton.

Faye was a snowbird, going to Florida in the winter. She helped with the food pantry at her church, formerly enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and walking, auctions, and antiquing.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, November 26th from 400-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Binu Sebastian as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at the Elgon Cemetery in Preston County.
