Obituary for Thelma "Louise" Nestor (Duckworth)

Thelma “Louise” (Duckworth) Nestor, age 92 of Rose Street, Grafton, WV passed away at the Rosewood Health Care Center.
She was born September 23, 1926 in Grafton, a daughter of the late Floyd Alonzo and Artie Gay (Hovatter) Duckworth.

She is survived by four children, Karen Fertig and husband Ron, of Burlington, WV, James Nestor of Philippi, Linda Edwards and husband Steve, of Wana, WV and Janice Nestor of Stevens City, VA; seven grandchildren, Michael Duvall, Michelle Duvall, Tracy Edwards, Lori Chisler, Joseph Nestor, Brandon “BJ” Harmison, and Jessica Novak; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Louise was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl A. Nestor; four sisters, Ethel Rutherford, Mary Duckworth, Opal Shingleton, and Monna Deem; three brothers, Richard Duckworth, Bernard Duckworth and
Ophie Duckworth.

She was a member of the Fetterman United Methodist Church in Grafton where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great- great-grandmother to her family. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, and especially taking care of her home and family.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Saturday, December 29th from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steven Edwards officiating.
Interment will follow at the Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grafton.
