Peggy Ann (Shriver) Custer, age 74, of Valley Falls Road, Grafton, WV passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born February 13, 1941 in Grafton, a daughter of the late Edwin R. “Bill” Shriver and Mavah K. “Sally” (Tucker) Shriver.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, John Charles Custer; two children, Sharon Ann Ware and husband Paul and Charles Edwin “Chuck” Custer and wife Debbie; four grandchildren, Charles A. “Anthony” Custer and wife Loren, Kristy A. Pisino and husband Keith Samantha Mae Newlon and husband Thomas, and Alyssa Brooke and fiance’ Jedd Guthrie, all of Grafton; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Marie Knotts, twins, Mattie Newlon and Katelyn Newlon; three step grandsons, James and Tommy Newlon and Michael Pisino; two brothers, James E. “Jim” Shriver and wife Lou and Sam Shriver and wife Linda; one sister, Mary Jo Miller; brother-in-law, Jim Parkhill; former sister-in-law, Sondra “Sunny” Facer, all of Grafton; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Kitty Parkhill and one brother,
Terry R. Shriver.

Peggy graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1959. She was a member of the Pruntytown United Methodist Church; the United Methodists Women’s Club and the Glade Run CEO.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister to her family.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Tuesday, May 26th from 3:00 -8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with
Rev. Harold A. Langevin, Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow in the Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grafton.
