Obituary for James Junior "Jimmy Junior" Newlon

James “Jimmy Jr.” Newlon, age 65 of Grand Street, Grafton, WV passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 28, 2016 in Weston, WV.
He was born May 3, 1950 in Grafton, WV a son of the late James V. and Alice V. (Hose) Newlon.

Jimmy was known by all and said he never met a stranger. His love for hunting, fishing, and westerns will always be remembered as well as his love for his enormous family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sherry M. (Daugherty) Newlon as well as his three sons, Timothy Newlon and wife, Amanda of Grafton, Mark Newlon of Princeton, WV and John Newlon of Terra Alta, WV. He is also survived by two loving grandchildren, Douglas and Kylie Newlon of Grafton; five sisters, Carol Walton and husband Willard of Buckhannon, Linda Watkins and husband, Ervin of Grafton, Deloris Heavner and husband, Steve of Buckhannon, Janet Edwards and husband, Steve of Grafton, and Lisa Rouse and husband, John of Morgantown, and Wanda Knotts and husband, Charles of Grafton; one brother, Randy Newlon and wife Angie of Grafton; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Newlon.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Tuesday, February 2nd from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor James E. Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Independence.
