Betty Lee (McCracken) Carr, age 89 of North Pike Street, Grafton, WV passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.

She was born November 18, 1927 in Grafton, a daughter of the late Milliage Leo and Myrtle Mildred (McDaniel) McCracken.

She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Curry of Rancho Cordova, CA and Linda Hart and husband Joe of Grafton; two grandchildren, Christina Beightol of Chambersburg, PA and Jeff Hart of Grafton; step-mother, Helen (Zorik) McCracken; two sisters, Barbara McMillen of Chicago, IL and Connie Abel and husband Eddie, of Grafton; one half-sister, Anna Jane McCloy of Grafton; also several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Rev. Henry Howard Carr who passed away February 23, 2012; four sisters, Mary Bolyard, Ethel Abel, Kathleen Abel, and Jean Edwards; and one brother, Paul Leo McCracken.

Betty was a retired cook for the Taylor County School System. She enjoyed her family, crocheting, and cooking.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Wednesday, October 25th from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
At Betty’s request, she will be cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held at the WV National Cemetery at a later date.
